Homemade coffee extract too strong.

I attempted to make homemade coffee as a Christmas gift so I’ve got some time to fix my mistakes. I used one cup of vodka, not too expensive, but not too cheap,and one cup of crushed coffee beans. Shook it once a day for two weeks and today it’s really strong. Like it singes your nostrils when you smell it.
Can this be salvaged?
