I saw a video about making apple cider donuts with apple cider concentrate(boiled down apple cider). This gave me an idea.
I like to sauté my apples before i bake them because I think it gives a better texture.
What if, I made an apple cider concentrate, and while it’s boiling I add the sugar to make a kind of apple cider caramel.
Then, I toss in the apples chunks to simmer in that, until reasonable soften. Then I add the spices and flour and add it to the pie crust?
Thoughts?
