I always find that boxed brownies do not live up to homemade ones. I wanted to know what are your views on brownie mixes!

My take on brownie mixes is that they will never taste as good as homemade (obviously) but sometimes I'm just feeling lazy or don't have the time to make it from scratch. I would love to see a good brownie mix product hit the shelves! ( Europan here) I'm not sure how the brownies in the USA are but generally here in Europe I haven't found good brownie mixes!

Do you avoid boxed brownies like the plague and if so why? or do you buy the mix and add extra ingredients to make it better?

If anyone has a brownie mix recipe they keep on hand for the "lazy days" could you please share it with me? I would love to try it out!
