I recently lost my mum and she was a huge fan of chocolate cake. I decided to make this for two reasons. First , to thank my partner for his incredible support. And second to cope with the pain I feel in my heart after losing my dear mother.
I was thinking about her while making it and I want to believe that she would have liked it.
I know it doesn't look perfect, but I really wasn't after "beautiful", it was a therapeutic baking. My partner said it is very tasty and I agree.
so sorry for your loss!! what a delicious looking cake. She would have loved it and is probably smiling down at you!
