I made some rainbow dough and just had fun playing around making lots of designs (My mom made the top tray of cookies, and I made the bottom ones). The dough held the details really well, and didn't spread much. I did chill the shaped dough for 5-10min before baking, which seemed to help limit the spreading. I halved the recipe which made 20 medium sized cookies.
Recipe: (Credit to Sandra Denneler, not me lol.) -It's a lightly sweet, soft, fluffy yet crumbly vanilla and almond flavored cookie. I use artificial almond, you could leave it out, or try other flavored extracts.

I've used this recipe before as the actually suggested striped rainbow donkey piñata shaped cookies (never again...), and also as just round rainbow tie dye cookies.
