So I am back once again with some horror stories. For my other post, click [here] (https://www.reddit.com/r/BadRPerStories/comments/13mpf8t/4_rper_rant_1_tired_rper/)
Disclaimer though, these are really long reads, Skip if you don't want a wall of text.
Let's start light, shall we.
Part one : The Especially Entitled Experienced RPer
How many of you have ever encountered an Entitled RPer? That's bad right? Now what about an "Experienced" RPer who doesn't even know proper RPing etiquette? Bad but can still swallow it right? Now what if you did a little math and added them together and put in some yeast? You will get a carbon dioxide spewing airbag that is especially entitled and claiming to be a experienced RPer. Now to the horror of this story.
So posted a prompt, I was looking for someone who is experienced enough to worldbuild together. I mean I know it wasn't my best work, but at the same time I had a little writer's block about how to develop one of the districts in a fictional world I had, and as such, I posted asking for collaborators. I encountered many "triers" who were only 1 sentence senders, to which I declined politely. I gave up and removed the post. Later in that day, one of the redditors, lets call him B, reached out to me to ask if the collab is still on because he was busy earlier and really wanted to message me to collab. I replied that I was indeed still looking for people to collab with and that I had taken down the post because it wasn't going anywhere.
We had discussions which were both insightful and cringe as well in hindsight. So Just some backstory on the country. The main "town" or "city" is surrounded by 54 other districts and is the most thriving town there is in this country. The country is set on an island that is inaccessible except for the port district of District 9 which is the district where the import of anything that comes through a port goes. And District 25 has airports, so on and so forth.
So back to the story, we were trying to determine the last 4 districts and what would be their main contribution to the country. We came up with a list and finally decided the below.
51 - cubes of stone.
52 - flat slabs of stone.
53 - graphite
54 - diamonds? (I know that some people might be thinking like why isn't this in one of the other districts, I admit I forgot about diamonds, but I do have a crystal mine in District 3.)
Seeing that was done, I offered to GM for him in this world where he will leave his mark as part of the lore of this world that progresses and evolves. For those that are unfamiliar, it means that whatever 1 person does in that world, will affect everyone else that plays in that world. Boy did I FUCKING screw up by offering that. We roleplayed in the world and he decided to start in District 54, no surprises there. He wanted to be the son of the man who owned the mine and I vetoed it as I prefer the RPers not to play as children of main NPCs lest causing some irreversible stuff, he then settled to be a man from the poorest family that has 5 children, which was a very big jump, but I allowed it. -It was at this moment I realised I fucked up- He reasoned that the poorest family would not be able to provide enough food for the family. I concurred. He then said that in order to have enough food, one will have to resort to stealing right? I concurred again. Then he went "Okay then." and I left it at that. He described his character and we started roleplaying when he went "I see the chicken on the plate and I want to steal it." I went "Okay, but how are you going to get away with this?" He went "Oh in order to feed all of us, my father was a master thief and as such he has taught me the ways in how to steal."That is red flag 1. I, deciding not to engage, went "Sure, you can try to get away but I'm pretty sure someone sees you." He started detailing his escape route, which I have to admit I was kind of impressed. So the roleplay went on for another hour. Exactly one more hour when he said "Oh, I am going to plan a heist/cover up." Biggest red flag that he is going to destroy my world.
He detailed his plans and then wanted to assassinate the owner of the diamond mines, take over as the owner, stage a coup, keep the diamonds for himself and buy off districts 51-54 from the government and name them "The Alliance of B". I vetoed it and we got into a very big argument. He said as he "help" build the districts he wanted to profit off it. I was like "WTF are you on? This is just roleplay!" And I will never forget the answer he gave me. "I am entitled to it because I worked hard for it. Don't tell me how to roleplay, I am an experienced roleplayer with 6 months experience and I like to roleplay as if it was me in the roleplay which makes it more immersive for me." I facepalmed so hard and left that faster than a man who slammed a door on his penis could say ouch. I recently went back to that forum after a month and a half, he was banned for staging coups to take over the roleplays in a lot of roleplay, according to the mods of the forum.

Part two : The "Get Off & Leave"r
So this one is a short one, but I decided to put it second because the First story is a doozy and I am very sure the person I mentioned in the story is on reddit and I want to curb his shit. This is 18 so if you are not 18 \wink wink*) just skip to the next one.
I am sure I am not the only one that has encountered this issue. You post a prompt on places like DPP, DCP, DRC and other subreddits of that sort and you get a reply you start to go into roleplaying and in the thick of it, the person just leaves the roleplay and not come back? Well, below is my horror story on the matter.
I posted a rather nsfw prompt about a businessman taking in a girl off the streets, it's still on my profile if anyone is interested, and to no surprise there were many responses. Most were like "This is cool", "Lets try this" and "this is interesting". There are some that goes can I be the guy instead to which I reply "sure, I don't mind." and that works out to a certain extent too, until people get bored and just ghost after awhile, but I was used to that. This guy however was on the next freaking level. I felt I wasn't an RPer, I was a welcome mat.
We were roleplaying, it got hot and steamy, his character had mine in a nelson hold and was pounding away, we were in the steamy situation for about 30 minutes real time and then he suddenly stopped replying. I sent a few messages to see if anything was wrong and got no reply, so I thought it was one of those ghosts and paid it no mind. A few days later I received a reply from him with no explanation, just continuation of the roleplay and I went on with it about 15-20 minutes later he disappeared again. Thinking real life was calling I just shrugged it off. It happened a third time and I bowed out of the roleplay.

Part three : The "Limitless" Player
Whoops, are you below 18? This is a little violent and involves death and sex. Skip to the next please. xD
SOOOOO... I am sure you have encountered those rpers that when you ask if they have any limits, they say they are limitless or that they have no limits, right? So here's a story of someone who does not know what they want, or rather what they don't want.
I was roleplaying with this guy who claimed to be limitless. I double confirmed if he really was limitless and he got defensive by saying "I know what limitless means and I know that I am limitless." "Okay. Any soft limits or anything that is iffy by your standards?" He blew up at that, and admittedly I shouldn't have gone there but I wanted to make sure. But nonetheless I decided to go ahead with the roleplay. He requested I go as dark as I can. Big mistake.
For someone who wanted a dark depraved roleplay he practically noped the whole genre. Snuff? Nope. Understandable. Non-con? Nope. Also understandable. Dub-con? Nope. Again understandable. Rough sex? Nope. Err... Sex? I can only accept missionary. Wait what? So I roleplayed the "darkest rp" with the most vanilla guy ever. The roleplay continued for about 3-4 days before he decided to call it quits because I wasn't "dark" enough. *#FacePalmThroughFace*

Part four : Am I a bot?
Sooooo... In this, I do not know if I should be elated or insulted. You know ChatGPT is prevalent in the cyberworld today and some roleplayers use it to send replies for a roleplay word for word sometimes, mind you. either when they are stuck or just because they can. So when someone calls me a bot, I don't know if I should be proud that I am at that level of skill or insulted that they think I am not that creative.
I was in a roleplay with a girl, we shall call her Z, this was an exploration slice of life kind of roleplaying so naughty stuff were not so prevalent. I am a mirror writer, so I try to mimic my partners writing style and length, though I do sometimes get carried away and type a wall of text just describing stuff or to give the roleplay some momentum forward. So we were at the point of the roleplay where things were getting a little short on the reply side and I wrote a wall of text to describe the area we were in and also move the story forward. Then there was silence on the reply side. A week later I received a reply from her saying that "I really enjoyed our session of roleplaying and the story line, but why did you have to use a bot to generate your response? It hurts that you do not put effort in when I am putting my full effort into writing every response." By this time we were already roleplaying for 9 months and while admittedly this would be the longest wall of text I wrote in this roleplay. I have done long multiparagraphed texts quite often as well, so I did not understand where this was coming from. After a few back and forth we devolved to going back to a shorter format of text...and then she ghosted in the 10th month because I wasn't giving her enough to satisfy her reading needs and also not giving her enough to continue off. *sigh*
-----------------------
To the people reading this, if you are or think you are any of these people, I am not out to shame you. I just need to get this off my chest. Please do better, roleplaying is a two-way street and communication is key. I know you can do better if you try. Good luck, have a nice day and may the odds be forever in your favour. xD
