Just had another frustrating encounter with neighbours and really don't see what the solution is besides moving or waiting for them to move. We've had the police give warnings, but it hasn't had any affect, and I'm not sure if repeated police visits will help or hurt the situation. So just want to hear examples of people's wins to see if there's anything I haven't tried yet.
We put up 24/7 cameras to monitor our property. Our bad neighbors used to know the range on our motion activated cameras.
In July they filed a noise complaint for a block party that they were not invited to. When the PD arrived, the officers were aware of our ongoing issues. We walked to the property line with a noise monitor to which there was minimal reading. I then countered their compl with my camera footage of them throwing firecrackers over the fence at our dogs. After a brief conversation they rescinded their complaint.
They filed a false complaint about me in August and have since been charged with false reporting. Since that moment we’ve had some minor dust ups but not to the extent we had in the past. They’ve mostly left everyone else alone as well. We’ve heard rumors they’ve looking to move out of state and the entire block would be willing to help them pack.

Unfortunately, their false reporting carries more weight than the animal cruelty charges. Their harassment of our dogs, kids, and neighborhood dogs and kids is why we have 24/7 monitoring.
