Suction cup help

I recently bought a L/M Rex with a cumtube and suction cup and I can’t seem to get it to stick to anything. I have pretty smooth faux leather furniture and a fake brick-like pattern in my shower that it should be able to stick to, but doesn’t. Does anyone have a hack or idea on how I can get it to stick to these things? ATM it only sticks to completely smooth surfaces, mainly my bathroom counter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
