What’s wrong with my cherry baby?
Post Body

Did not notice anything amiss on my spring inspection. But just noticed this a couple days ago. It’s firm and shiny and not sticky on the outside. Seems like sap, but why? And what if anything can I do for it?

Also, this cherry had worms in basically every fruit of its small yield. It’s neighboring cherry does not. What precautions do I need to take now and in fall and/or spring, to help prevent this? All the fruit is picked, and I picked up the few on the ground.

Thank you!
