Why does the Delorean’s engine make “that sound” when it accelerates/decelerates?
Post Body

Obviously, rule of cool, the Bobs wanted to have a cool sci-fi car. The engine sounds themselves are from a Porsche, and given the Delorean’s performance it’s not too far too assume Doc may have retrofitted a beefier engine.

But is there an in-universe explanation to why the Delorean’s engines has the extra sound effect of Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder/The Bat Mobile?

It sounds cool as hell, but what systems could be making that sound? It’s not the hover conversion, as Part 1 used the same sound effects.
