I purchased this phone from backmarket from the seller TECH4CASH on the 4th off September.
A couple days ago the battery started to smoke and expand and caught on fire. I have raised this issue via chat on backmarket and they are asking for photos I really don’t understand their logic.
Firstly who carry’s around 2 phones just to take a photo off a faulty phone I got sold.
Secondly my first instinct is too dispose off the phone and make sure it is out off the way so it cannot cause any harm to me or my family.
And thirdly why would I go to the bin where I disposed off the phone and pick it back up and potentially burn myself with battery acid just so they can get a photo.
It really doesn’t make sense in my eyes i am currently disputing this with backmarket and will keep updating this thread when they can figure out the next options on how we can proceed about this.
Overall their customer service isn’t bad and are actually kind and have not so bad response times. This is just a annoying situation in which I hope will get resolved soon.
