It’s getting into the low 70s this week and unfortunately I already feel the ski season psych hitting me hard.
Currently seeing two really great facebook deals on skis (with bindings/skins included) that I’ve been debating snagging for a while. The two skis are:
- Dynafit Blacklight 88 178 w/ Hagan Pure 10 Bindings
- Atomic Backland 85 UL 179 w/ Backland Pure Bindings & Leash
Forgive me, as I’m not super educated on what extent the gram difference between boots and skis/bindings makes a difference in terms of bottlenecking. I currently use the Tecnica Zero G Tour Scout which weighs 1290g/pair. Whereas the atomic backland 85 UL weighs 1105g/pair.
My main intention for these skis is for resort uphill laps and spring missions (CO based, Aspen area). For reference, my other touring setup is QST 106s w/ G3 Ion 12 bindings, so definitely looking for a lighter option to add. I have loved this QST setup for all sorts of day in CO some PNW volcano skiing.
To me, the weight difference between the boots and skis seem pretty small, but I’m pretty uneducated on this topic and I know a lot of you have some great knowledge. Advice/opinions on these skis is welcomed too! This could be a totally stupid question overall, so I’m happy to delete this post after an answer or two haha.
