My chickens have not had any food for three weeks.
Post Body

Or at least that is how they act every single time I bring the layer feed pellets out. 1/2-3/4 cup twice a day plus any veggie scraps we have laying around plus once a week or so my kid will bring a 2 pint container of strawberry tops home from work.

And yet every single time I go out in the backyard whether to feed them or not, they are stepping all over each other to be the closest to the run walls. They act like they haven't eaten in weeks.

Is this normal or am I really not feeding them enough? They are all laying (well three for sure and I think the fourth started this week). They are all over year old, pushing on two years really.
