I got a call from my midwife today and was told my sips was positive for Down syndrome with a 1/870 chance. I’m so confused because this seems pretty low for my age (36). None the less my mental health was already bad and this is sending me into a spiral. Can anyone share their stories or insight?
I’m so sad because I already told me 8 year old son we are expecting and for the first time today he said he’s excited for a sibling and was running my belly. Heartbroken.
