What to do when you are too depressed to get out of bed and 8 months pregnant
Post Body

Hello,

I used to post on my monthly subs but have been not so kindly informed that my 'mental health outbursts' do not 'sit well' with the group.

Basically, the title. I'm 8 months pregnant, I was 125lbs and now weigh 175lbs, that's 50lb of baby and accessories, baby is breech and head right below my ribcage. Uncomfortable even sitting in bed, and when I talk to Dr Google he informs me that laying on my back makes me a bad baby incubator and I should be on my side.

I had to come off most of my meds for anxiety and depression when I got pregnant but am taking what I can and substitutes. Anything more will affect baby. So, more meds not an option.

I'm off work today and yesterday, OB wrote me a note because my feet were so swollen I was limping to my OB appointment. Concept of work tomorrow making me more blue.

Got my TDAP yesterday, so maybe that isn't helping.

Weather outside is miserable, usually I like to go in the garden and hang out with the chickens, I planted some garlic last week even though what would have taken me 20 minutes to do before pregnancy took me 2.5 hours.

Partner is supportive but only so much they can do.

I wonder if you have ideas. I know that there are many restrictions - accommodating pregnant belly, no long periods on feet, inside, etc. So far I have been playing candy crush in bed all morning and recalibrated my 3D printer and set it up with a print. Considering reading Steinbeck's 'Winter of our Discontent'. Maybe you were in this position once and something worked for you? I would recommend reading my Saga and Descender hardbacks but I already did that. I have a switch and the only games I've really enjoyed in the past were Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing and Luigi's Mansion. I have an N64 and my fave games are Mario 64, Donkey Kong, Pokemon Snap and Ocarina of Time so maybe you can recommend me a switch game that I might like? Honestly been really disappointed with the caliber of game so far. Still patiently awaiting Pokemon Snap!
