Hi All! I am stoked that this community seems to be inclusive of all, so I feel safe enough to pose this question: as a first time parent who is skinny, what particular health concerns should I look out for, and what oft-talked about health concerns can I mostly write off?
I am a first timer and seeing a lot of the posts makes me freak out. I see something about skin tags for examples and read all the comments and freak out and research it and then see that they are less likely to happen to me because I'm not overweight, then I feel stupid about freaking out. Also it's like, why is this stuff happening to everyone else and not me?! There must be something wrong!
I have always been healthy with a BMI around 19. No history of any ED or anything (I know they can lead to complications).
I'm particularly curious about Pre-Eclampsia, blood pressure problems (mine has always been low, I think), jaundice in newborns and the effect of weight on birth trauma such as tearing, incontinence and healing. I basically don't want to spend hours and hours reading up about something that may not be relevant to me, and Google is kind of failing.
I am expecting there will be some things that will be easier because of my weight but am also aware that there may be things that are harder. I'd love to know what they might be! Stories from personal experience are welcome!
Really hoping this doesn't come off as a humble brag lol
