Iāve done a lot of research on reddit and everywhere else I can think of to get info on taking ADD meds (I take vyvanse 40 mg) while pregnant. This group seems to have been super helpful and responsive when others have asked similar questions in the past. Basically my question is can anyone give me their experience? Iābe been off vyvanse since the day I found out I was pregnant, so 2 weeks. Iām struggling and really starting to question whether no meds is going to work for me. My psychiatrist supports me taking the lowest necessary dose, but my OBGYN is against it (this is not really a dispositive factor for me; I donāt need her approval). I canāt find any accounts of ADD meds causing birth defects, only low birth weight and possible dependency if you donāt wean off of it before birth. I have no idea how to conduct this ācost/benefitā analysis that doctors seem to use when determining whether a woman should stay medicated while pregnant. I would be absolutely wracked with guilt if there ended up being a problem with my pregnancy, related to vyvanse or not. On the other hand, Iām an attorney and I have to critically think all dayāresearching, drafting, etc.āand vyvanse plays a major role in managing my anxiety and emotional outbursts. Advice/suggestions/feedback, please.
