Hello all.

I'm fairly new here and I'm really just a stalker. I'm not pregnant (I have a preteen dd though) but I've wanted another baby for prob 8 years. My dh and I were never on the same page (cause I wanted all the babies and he was being reasonable without the affected baby brain). But now, we will begin trying for #2 in June.

I have a giant collection of baby things I've been buying the last year, in anticipation of this (including my most recent purchase of a CRIB, thanks to a post I saw here...I know, I'm ridiculous).

I don't have a lot of friends where I live now. We moved cross country in the last few years. Where I'm from people start punching out babies soon after high school (some while still in High school, lol) but where I live now no one has the baby rabies. Most are happily in their almost 30s (or younger or older) and have no plans for a baby anytime soon. So I have no one to share my excited baby talk with except my dh and my best friend via text/Skype (she lives back East). And I even thought she was cool with it, bc she was always so excited to hear my latest purchases and demanding pics. She was even thrilled when I started taking folic acid. But this past week, I was skyping with her. And after listening to her (very happily and patiently) talk about her grandmother, her old boyfriend (whom she met online and moved to a new state for only to have him dump her), her new boyfriend, and everything HER, she asked me about the folic acid (I had been having a side affect id mentioned to her previously). Note, she asked ME. As soon as I started talking about it she instantly tuned me out. You could tell she had opened a web page and was reading or browsing something. Her responses were now "uh huh....yeah....uh huh" no matter what I said, to the point I actually stopped talking and she kept doing it.

Needless to say I was very hurt. She was really the only one I had to share all my excitement with. She's not "jealous" bc she doesn't want kids at this point and she's very happy where she is career wise and boyfriend wise. And after thinking about it I realized this wasn't the first time she'd tuned out. It was just the first time I'd SEEN it, thanks to Skype. I haven't said much to her in 2 days bc I didn't want to blow up at her. Maybe I've just been boring her. :/

But thankfully, I have the wonderful world of babybumps. Basically this walllll of text was to say how happy I am that I finally listened to my husbands advice and joined reddit, and found this wonderful place full of people wanting to talk NOTHING BUT BABIES. I happily click on ALL the bump photos and newborn pics, and give any advice I have and I've basically stopped going on Facebook. I check reddit first.

You ladies are my favoritest (after dh and dd of course). I can't wait to join your ranks. :)
