I had a doctor's appointment today and my doctor warned me that I might end up needing a c-section because of how small I am (I weighed 89 pounds when I found out I was pregnant and am now at 112 - my belly is the only thing that grew and its still on the small side even though I am nearly 40 weeks). He's not pushing in either direction and is okay with me trying for a vaginal birth. I am worried if I do try for it I will end up tearing pretty bad and need an emergency c-section. I don't deal with pain well at all and am terrified of tearing or being cut.
I would really love any advice/stories from people who: are on the smaller side or know someone on the smaller side and what their delivery was like, those who have had scheduled c-sections and what to expect afterwards, those who have had emergency c-sections, and anyone who ended up tearing and what recovery was like for that.
I am just looking at my options right now and would love any insight into these situations.
