I’m not sure if anyone feels the same way. I have been getting personal joy whenever someone uses my pregnancy as an excuse to give them a temporary benefit in life. My extended family lives out of state and last year we went to them for my nieces birthday. Nobody had a good time. This year? “Sorry, it’s too close to OP’s due date, she can’t travel”. My mom wants to take some personal time off of work? “I’m helping my daughter prepare for her baby” or “I’m taking two weeks in June to help my daughter with the baby” (which she will be doing but definitely not every day, I couldn’t handle that much of my mother 😂).
My family has always had each others backs when it comes to personal time. I’m all for them using my pregnancy as an excuse to get out of doing things they don’t want to do, as long as they don’t tell a blatant or hurtful lie. Do other people find this annoying?
