I feel like a nuisance
Post Body

Some background: this is my second pregnancy and I was induced with my first so I never experienced the contractions/water breaking thing at home.

I’m 35w 3d today. I’ve gone into L&D triage twice now for consistent contractions that feel like period cramps- once at about 29 weeks and once last week. They aren’t usually productive just annoying ones. I was given a medication I can take at home if I get the cramping again.

I’ve been having it again tonight even with the medication. They aren’t as consistent but they’re still there.

At what point am I just being annoying going into triage? I don’t really want to go in tonight because I feel like they’re just going to check me, give me the meds again and send me home. Will I actually know when they’re real contractions? I have an OB appointment on Monday so part of me feels like it would be a waste of time to go in tonight.

The contractions are uncomfortable. As I’ve explained it in the past if they had been period cramps I would’ve taken the max dose of PMS meds I could and gone to bed to try and ignore them. I can still talk through them they just kinda hurt a bit.

My Braxton hicks are usually just my whole stomach tightens up and there’s no pain.
