Are we just gonna plateau on our ranking?

I've been reading a lot of articles and it seems like people have us at 13 or 14 after this week.
While I love CFB, it's a bummer that it feels we have a ceiling on how high they will rank us.
I get the schedule difficulty, the other school records, but it just feels like even if we went 12-0, we would barely crack the top 10 possibly.
What would we have to do to get higher? Win out this year and get started next year at a higher ranking and then win out next year?
