This is one thing that always had confused me during the beginning of the series. Where were the 12 colonies located in relation to each other? Were they all in the same solar system or in different ones? I feel like they were in the same system considering during the mini series Mr. Gaeta and Commander Adama had a conversation about no one attempting to make a Jump in a very long time.
