Hey I'm 25 turning 26 this year I was told today that I tested positive for the BRCA2 gene, logically I want to take all preventative steps asap, going to see my gynaecologist and a reconstructive surgeon who specialises in women with breast cancer, sometime soon, when I make an appointment , anyway I'd like to talk it through with her find out what my options are, even though I want to metaphorically hit it and be proactive, although I'm not hiding my emotions but idk how I will feel moving forward but I know whatever I feel i'm allowed to feel it and process what is actually happening, but I know it's all going to be okay, just yea, that's where I'm currently at
