My girlfriend has BPD and will bring up things I’ve done (before I met her & during our relationship) repeatedly when things come up & or when we argue. It supposedly helps her but does it really help her to do that?? In most cases I’ve seen it not help things cause it’s what I went thru with my parents being in the middle of things..
When she brings things up that’s when I tend to cry cause I feel bad for the things I’ve done but it also puts me down… it mentally drains me. 😞 I know that the crying is a trigger for her but I can’t help my emotions. I’ve said I’m sorry a billion of times. I don’t know what to do!! I’ve only talked to her therapist once so far which I’m not sure if it’ll make any difference. He did mention that it would be good to maybe be in couples counseling but last I knew she wasn’t into that cause of her past relationship going thru that..
Im barely social compared to how I was before I met her. She questions things about people I talk to that I’ve known for a couple of years on my social media such as Facebook & whatnot(even family friends that I don’t even talk to anymore). I feel like she controls me & has to much power over me in some aspects/ways.
