first off, we’re poly. you can read my past posts on my profile about the situation, but i’m struggling to understand her. full disclosure, and with the utmost respect, it seems like she’s in pain all the time. and when she isn’t, it’s as if she straining herself to be ok.

we’re meeting tomorrow for the first time in a while, and im trying to come at it with sincerity. we’re meeting because i would prefer us to date our shared partner separately; i would like to continue not to have contact with her for the time being; and would like to constructively explain why i feel this way. i worry anything i tell her will push her off a mental cliff, and im trying to phrase things to her kindly.
