Is a healthy relationship with BPD partner possible?

Post Body

Iā€™m dating someone who I found out has BPD. Itā€™s been very nice so far - great sex, great convo, fun dates. But apparently this is part of the ā€œstagesā€ of a BPD relationship and might be the beginning of something toxic? Is there a way to have a fairly healthy relationship with someone with BPD? How can you tell how severe someoneā€™s borderline symptoms are? What warning signs should I look out for? So far this feels like a fairly normal new relationship energy so Iā€™m not really sure at what point this turns into a red flag. I really like them so far....but I guess that could also be part of the ā€œpatternā€?

A search on the internet seems dismal so far.... Iā€™m seeing a lot of demonizing people with BPD but Iā€™m not sure how accurate that is. I donā€™t think most people are trying to be malicious when they do things associated with BPD because itā€™s exactly what it says - a disorder. Are there any nonBPD folks who have a success story about navigating a BPD relationship in a healthy way? Is it possible?
