Rating emotional intensity for diary cards? DAE not know how intense their emotions actually are?

Post Body

So for DBT I'm filling out a daily diary card where I rate specific emotions from 1-5. I'm sure many of you have done the same.

I keep looking back at my answers and feeling like they're wrong. Like, I can't tell if my anger was actually a 3.5, or I over or under inflated that rating. It feels like I'm just pulling a number out of thin air.

Anyone else have a similar issue. Also, you know how there's a pain scale where each number is explained as to how much distress it causes? Is there a similar way to rate emotional intensity?
