Have any of you found by telling your supervisor that you have an emotional regulation disorder, they try to be more understanding AT ALL?
I've had a few instances in the work place where I was spoken to pretty poorly and in return, I acted just as bad...probably worse. I either get serious anxiety and cry OR every hate filled thought comes rushing and I'm ready to scream.
At home it's easier to reel myself in because my partner knows I have BPD and we've created a system that works for us. But how can I do better with other people? Especially those who aren't necessarily "emotional" folks...
I don't want to use BPD as a crutch but I do want people to understand that at times, it truly does feel out of control.
