How do I deal with having regrets when I literally didn't know any better?

Post Body

I was raised by a single mom (most likely with undiagnosed bpd) where I wasn't taught a lot of what I needed growing up. One of those things is personal finance. My mom taught me what she could but it wasn't nearly enough, now that I'm doing research and educating myself I'm having a lot of guilt over blowing money in stupid ways (bud, fast food, trips) instead of saving or investing it. The money is gone, and yet I still feel so guilty and stupid like if I knew then what I know now, maybe I could've been in a better situation now 😩 but the other issue I have is that I live in NYC where EVERYTHING IS INSANELY EXPENSIVE, how can I stop feeling so regretful and guilty and actually make good choices??
