Hi everyone. I'm 26 and after asking for a diagnosis for 5 years knowing it was more than just depression and anxiety, I have been diagnosed with BPD. While finally being able to point to what is going on in my mind has been freeing, I can't help but think ahead to all the work I have in front of me. I've been battling mental health since before I turned 10, and the last 4 years have been the worst of the lot. I'm scared I won't have the strength to make it through DBT. But I also know now that the thoughts I get trapped in are just that. Thoughts. Could I maybe get some advice from others who have been through DBT before? And what you did to help you stick with it. I may be scared, but I'm also excited to start this new chapter in my life.
