Not only are these submissions 100% allowed here (I personally give the okay to most of them), but they're strongly encouraged. Research is what led to the treatments that save people's lives. Without research we wouldn't have DBT, MBT, or any of the medications that people with BPD get relief from. Without research our clinicians would have a much poorer understanding of BPD. We would likely be stuck back in the old days when people with BPD were called "untreatable," "toxic patients," and "treatment resistant." Instead, research into BPD has led clinicians to realize that BPD is very treatable, and that it's not our fault. Thousands and thousands of young clinicians and trainees across the world are showing interest in BPD and specializing in treating it. Fewer people with BPD are turned away because nobody knows how to work with them. This is all because of research and the insight and increased understanding that it brings.
I couldn't be more happy that there has been an increasing number of research advertisements here. It means that more money is being funneled into BPD research, and that more current and future clinicians are taking interest in helping people with BPD. It also means that people care about hearing from us. It's a very positive thing.
So, please do not report these submissions anymore, and please don't leave comments that are unwelcoming (the rules in the sidebar always apply). When researchers send me messages and ask for my permission to post here, I tell them that they need to include a specific disclaimer if there is any triggering content in their questions. That is the only requirement I have, so if you see that being violated, then just shoot me a message. Otherwise, please either participate or just ignore the submission.
Thank you.
