Hi everyone!
A few people have gotten in touch with me regarding this, so I wanted to address the community:
It seems that there has been someone/more than one person who has been indiscriminately downvoting new submissions. A lot of new submissions immediately jump down to 0, and I suspect that this is what's going on. Unfortunately, there's no way for us to know who is doing this, so I just wanted to let people know not to take it personally and that it's not a reflection on the quality of their contributions to the community. Normally I would ignore this kind of thing and wait for it to pass, but it seems to have been going on for a while now, so I thought the best way to deal with it would be to let people know.
On a related note: I often see good quality submissions that have many thoughtful replies but only a few upvotes on the submission itself. If you think that someone has made a worthwhile contribution, then please upvote it. Not only does this help make the higher quality content stand out from the rest (which is at the foundation of Reddit as a website) but it also helps to make sure people know that /r/BPD is a very active community. So, upvote the submissions that you enjoy so we can undo the work of this unhelpful person and help make /r/BPD a more welcoming place!
Carry on!
