Did you guys feel relieved when you got diagnosed with BPD?

Now I know what you're thinking, but what I mean is, when you found out you had it, it felt like a weight off your shoulders when you found out what was going on with you. When I found out I had it, I felt relieved because I wanted to know how to control it. And to be truthful I was scared that i was crazy. Now I'm not saying bpd is such a wonderful thing, it isnt, it fucking sucks.
I suck at explaining so if I say anything stupid I'm sorry

38 as well. I havenât been formerly diagnosed but dated someone who we mirrored each other. Was always afraid of getting diagnosed as bipolar which I know I wasnât and didnât know what borderline really was until I started looking into it. Waiting to get diagnosed until they decide to reclassify it to something less stigmatizing cause after 8 years of research there is a lot of unethical treatment from the medical world if it pops up youâve been diagnosed.
Overall been doing much better now that I understand my past but still struggle to connect with people without having some sort of symptoms crop up.
