What type of technique do you use for rage management?

I do CBT, but I don't see how to use that for irrational anger, because thought reprocessing is when you have a valid thought behind the emotions, for me it's just "i wake up-i'm furious-next person who speaks to me is getting st*bbed" this is the more extreme thoughts ofc, sometimes I might just want to punch the wall until I break my fist, uhh yes you get the picture.
Anyways what're your techniques/coping mechanisms?
