Do I need to tell my boyfriend that I have BPD?

Post Body

I’m very concerned if I tell my boyfriend about my disease that he will end our relationship. I’ve been medicated for many years. I still have struggles everyday. I’m so used to being stereotyped.

Well,BPD can go away and especially when you are in a healthy relationship. I don't bring it up until it becomes and issue because you can slip in and out of remission. I was I remission for 10 years but a friendship brought it back. Once it was an issue, that's when I brought it up because it was gone until then. If you don't know if you will have symptoms with him, there is no need to bring it up. If you start having symptoms, you then tell him as he is triggering your BPD or you aren't keeping healthy boundaries in your relationship.
