I know the concept of self diagnosis is a tricky subject and a lot of people have different opinions about it. recently I've seen a lot of young people (ages 12 to 16 for the most part) say they've self diagnosed themselves with BPD. I've also seen a lot of people be like "oh well I guess I have BPD" in the comments of video talking vary vaguely about the disorder.
before I got an official diagnosis, I did a butt ton of research and came to the conclusion that I probably had BPD. however I also think they're a little too young to decide they have a disorder like that and a personality disorder isn't something you can easily pick up on. I bet you can self diagnosis depression and anxiety but a personality disorder??
what do y'all think? do you think it's valid to self diagnose?
