Should you tell your friends when you realize you’re pushing them away and can’t stop it?

I posted this as a much longer question the other day, and am shortening it here to seek some direct advice. I often know that I’m pushing my friends away. Saying subtle hurtful things that could be written off as innocent that I know will get to them. Making them dislike me. Being generally unpleasant. And I just don’t know whether or not it would be better to say something about it or if it will be misconstrued,
