I don’t let him have any close female friends outside of family. At least no one closer than me. This isn’t a problem because he doesn’t really have other friends in general, we are long distance right now so it definitely is hard hearing about female coworkers and stuff (I don’t disallow him to talk to women but just forming close relationships with them is a no for me)
Now I told some coworkers about this and they say it’s abusive, but it’s just a hard boundary I’ve drawn in the sand since the very beginning of our relationship. He has been okay with it since the start, even volunteering to unfollow old female friends he doesn’t even speak to anymore.
Am I the villain here? I don’t even talk to men outside of him, work and my family, (I don’t make him do that it’s just a personal choice) He always reassures me he’s happy with me and can’t wait to move in with me and doesn’t need anyone else but me. Should I just ignore what people say about my relationship being abusive?
