How to ask therapist to consider diagnosis?

Post Body

I (F18) been going to therapy since I was 7. Despite all the therapy Iā€™ve undergone, and the therapists Iā€™ve seen. I canā€™t find myself getting better. My sister has BPD, I grew up in a traditional BPD-brewing household. Iā€™ve been researching for the past couple of months, and the things Iā€™ve been feeling for years align perfectly with what itā€™s like to have BPD. my therapists and I have talked about my depression, my anxiety, and my potential bipolar (said im too young to diagnose). BPDā€™s never been brought up. I start therapy for the first time in a while through my university tomorrow, and Iā€™m wondering what a good way to bring up a potential diagnosis. Of course theyā€™d need to talk and get to know me before handing out a ā€œBPD-passā€, but Iā€™m wondering how I can word things to have a productive conversation about this disorder? I donā€™t want them to get offended and think I think I know more than them.
