I got diagnosed with BPD a while ago and have been through DBT 3 times, I have made a lot of progress and a lot less destructive than I used to be.
My biggest problem associated with BPD as of right now is whenever I get into a romantic relationship my symptoms get really bad. I'll be completely fine for months; my black and white thinking is pretty much non existent, I'm not really fixated on a particular person, I can regulate my emotions, I'm good. then when I get a crush or start dating, that progress disappears. I get anxious if they add another period in a text, I overthink every interaction we have together, I fixate on my partner, I think they either hate me or love me, it's bad.
I'm luckily on the aroace spectrum so I don't crush on people a lot but when I do I'm miserable, I don't want to just never date anyone ever again but I want to stay in my good mindset.
any tips?
