Have you ever taken a semester off college for mental health/BPD?

And if so, how easy/hard was the process of asking for it? Did your family and friends approve? Do you believe it was the right decision?
I am considering doing so. I’m likely going to forgo the summer semester as I am barely handling the spring right now. I don’t know if I want to do the fall—it’ll depend on how the summer break makes me feel.
