So I had this idea while at work making myself a quick snack before service. I remembered the old saying/metaphor "A watched pot never boils" and I wondered if that'd make for a cool quirk. The I realized it'd be better if it wasn't just that one saying.
Quirk Powers: The user can speak a metaphor/saying and doing so applies an affect based off the meaning or interpretation of the metaphor/saying. The affect is targeted at whoever it is being spoken about/too in the conversation. The downside is that overuse causes confusion and the inability to understand what they're saying which can cause unwanted affects as the users interpretation of the metaphors grows worse and worse.
Examples: "A Watched Pot Never Boils" causes the affected to move and act slower if they're being observed but when they arent they begin moving much more rapidly. "Slicker than a greased up pig at the county fair!" Makes the affected harder to grab onto and hold as well as more agile in dodging attacks and grapples.
