This is Satoshi's father. In me and my friends AU there is no All Might or One For All. Basically the whole cast is pretty much our OC's. Yuudai is one of 3 pro heroes known to the public as the 3 Pillars of Peace. So no single symbol of peace. Usually the Big 3 of UA tend to inherit the Pillar title.

Name: Yuudai Ryuji (Great Hero Dragon Man)

Hero Name: Heartbeat "The Perseverance Hero"

Appearance: Yuudai is a tall 6'5" man with well defined muscles and a sleek compact build made for maneuverability and sudden bursts of power. His skin is lightly tanned and his hair is dark brown long, reaching mid back, and is usually kept in a ponytail. His eyes are a light blue color and he appears to have many scars all over his body, the most notable being a surgical chest scar over his heart. He keeps himself clean shaven on the face and wears comfortable clothing most days, things like sweat pants and tank tops.

Quirk: Hero's Heart - Through the increase of his heart rate Yuudai's strength, speed, stamina, durability, and regeneration begin to multiply. The higher the heart rate the stronger he gets with no known upper limit. At some point his quirk will begin to emit a sound, indicating that he's reached what he calls Stage 1 where his power is akin to Full Cowling 10%, this sound is of his heartbeat and it resembles a drum which Yuudai admits acts as a sort of motivator. Stage 2 is equal to Full Cowling 20%, and Yuudai's current known limit is Stage 3 which would be like Full Cowling 30%.

Quirk Downsides: The higher the heartbeat the higher the chance of potential risk to his hearts health as the quirk only heals wounds inflicted by external sources and not the quirk itself. Meaning if he goes to far for to long he may end up having a heart attack or worse heart failure. Other possible downsides are increased blood loss and extreme fatigue once his quirk returns his healing and stamina to normal levels. Lastly his quirk burns a lot of calories and other bodily resources meaning he requires large intakes of food.

Hero Outfit: Yuudai's outfit consists of a skintight suit made of highly durable fabric similar to Kevlar. The suit has two colors, the main color being white and the secondary being red. On the suit is a hospital sign with heart rate lines connecting to the left and right protrusions. The symbol appears to be made of metal and the heart rate lines seem to be wires that connect to small super condensed batteries. This acts as an emergency defibrillator in case of a quirk drawback. His suit also has a simple wrist monitor that shows his heartbeat, what stage he's in, and any abnormalities/issues that may be happening to his heart. Lastly he keeps a red ribbon/bandanna of cloth tightly wrapped around his right hand.

Personality: Yuudai is highly empathetic and kind, he believes in selflessness and striving to do whatever he can for those around him to improve their life. He believes that his quirk is strong because its his heart...the heart of a hero and as long as it beats he will never stop protecting people. He is also understanding of certain beliefs about heroes, knowing that people need money to live and doesn't hate the people who are heroes for money. Instead he's sad for them, wishing he could help them. But what they do with their power is their choice and he'll respect it even if he doesn't like it cause everyone deserves the right to choose who they want to be even if the choice is wrong. All in all he is a kind man with a love for all people who would give his life again and again if it meant saving one more life.

Backstory: Born a twin Yuudai grew up in a simple home with a simple family, the one closest to him being his twin brother. The two dreamed of being heros and spent a lot of their time drawing costumes, picking names, and thinking about what their quirks would be. Both were inseparable and did everything together. Eventually the day came when they both got their quirks and miraculously enough both of them seemed to manifest the same quirk. Both were ecstatic believing they'd be the ultimate duo with this power. After getting into a pro hero course Yuudai picked the name Heartbeat and his brother picked Heartrate. The two rose through the ranks and become some of the top students in the school.

However...a day came during their work studies when they came upon a villain neither of them could beat at their current level. Still training their quirks the two brothers had never risked going higher than their set limit but people were in danger and they needed to win. So the two brothers pushed their limits and let their hearts beat faster and harder than they had done before. Yuudai had a heart attack just as the fight was ending and he blacked out before seeing the results. When he awoke he was in the hospital with a machine hooked up to his chest.

The doctors said his heart was to badly damaged from over exerting his quirk and that he'd likely die if he didn't get a replacement within the next few days. When he asked about his brother he learned that he defeated the villain but not before taking a fatal blow to the stomach and he to was on life support. A day or so later Yuudai had a visit from his brother who told him "We're both dying...kinda poetic isn't it. Same quirk, twins, and now both of us dying at the same time. But I guess us being twins and having the same quirk was a blessing...I'm not going to survive Yuudai but you can...I'm giving you my heart so we can both keep fighting. I love you brother." and with that Yuudai's brother seemed to have given his last moments of life to tell his brother this.

After the surgery to replace his heart Yuudai took the bandanna used in his brothers costume and added it to his own as a reminder of his loss. Yuudai eventually found love and had a son with an equally dangerous quirk but he grew into it and became his own man. Now Yuudai acts as a still active hero making use of every second his brother gave him.

Ultimate Move: Cardiac Arrest - Once Yuudai reaches Stage 3 he can utilize his ultimate move where he begins to deliver a rapid series of punches to his foe that follow the beat of his heart, the speed and power increasing as he tries to keep with the tempo and beat of his heart which grows quicker as he pushes his body further and further. This move can cause immense damage and destruction as Yuudai's body becomes more and more resistant to damage despite how hard and fast he's hitting, but Yuudai risks overloading his hearts limits and could possibly give himself a fatal heart attack.
