Considering trading an i4 for an IX - worth it?

My dealer has a nicely optioned iX almost fully loaded xdrive 50 that I can lease for $970/month including all taxes & fees. I would be trading in my i4, with its equity as my down payment. So really no new cash out of pocket, saving me about $110/mo in financing costs.

Seems like an interesting deal. My 2 kids have been getting a bit cramped in the i4. I realized I enjoy a higher ride a bit more.

How do owners with families like the IX for around-town space and short road trips? (We still have a full size SUV as a second car).
