Buying an E85 with a broken roof motor

Hey everyone, I’m looking at a 2003 that is in great condition with low miles but the motor for the top isn’t working. What do you guys think an estimated cost for the fix would be? Is it something I could do myself or would I need to take it in to a shop? Also is there a way to manually lower the roof in the meantime? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i bought an e85 with a busted one and just lived with it for as long as i owned it, with the manual release engaged it’s an easy one person job to lower and raise in a few seconds; much better than the 1500-2000 quotes i was getting
