I recently had my 2015 X5 x50i in for regular maintenance and the shop noted that the oil pan was leaking and recommended replacement. It's a common problem with this model, they had pictures and it was covered by my extended warranty so the repair was done a month ago. This weekend, I got the low oil warning telling me to add 2 quarts of oil. Is this normal consumption for 1,000 miles of driving?
UPDATE The mechanics could not find a leak or other evidence of where the oil went. Spark plugs are clean (recently replaced) and no oil in the turbos. The mechanic who did the oil pan fix swears he filled it with 10 quarts. Not sure what to do now....
