I have 2 kids who ride in the back with booster seats. The way the car’s seats are designed means the seat belts are extremely difficult to buckle, and almost impossible for the kids to do it themselves. So far this has been one of the biggest issues with the car. Definitely something to consider if you have kids.
It’s a shame as this seems unnecessary…with a few millimeters difference in placement of the buckles it seems would let the kids be able to buckle themselves. Our previous 3 series and i3 had zero issues with this.
I’ve tried aftermarket seatbelt extensions, but the ones I’ve tried off Amazon don’t fit well, and I realized I shouldn’t trust my kids lives to a $20 piece of plastic.
Has anyone found any good solutions for kids buckling themselves in their booster seats? Quality seatbelt extenders? Booster seats that they know fit the i4 well?
