hey people . not been able to start my car for about a week now , one day it just died and will not start. its got battery, it cranks, the starter goes fine, spins up the flywheel fine, there's fuel in the injectors and can hear the fuel pump working, but there's no spark. all fuses are fine.

after some diagnosis i ended up getting a brand new BMW crankshaft sensor , since i know that can prevent startup if it can't see it's spinning. did not fix the issue. tried 3 diagnostics tools and none of them can read the ECU (its OBD 1 but i have an adapter).

im at my wits end and thinking it must be something electronic . ECU? Relays? Camshaft sensor instead of crankshaft? i'd really appreciate any help if this has happened to anyone before

this happened suddenly , but it was right after i took the drivers side headlight out to defog it. could that have fucked something up? or could be happenstance.. i didn't start it earlier that day
