Looking at buying a used X3, but wanted to here some opinions first. There are some great options on the used BMW Canada site currently, but want to know what id be getting into.

First, i do roughly 40000-45000 kms/year (26000 - 31000 miles) and I'm in sales, so lots of windshield time. So the thought of the diesel is intriguing due to the better fuel economy, and moving into a larger vehicle from a car, this is a concern for me. The reason to move into a larger vehicle 1) Fits my goalie gear 2) 1 kid, and another on the way

So to anybody that owns an x3, that could give me pointers and tips to look for before i test drive, would be greatly appreciated, as well as feedback on maintenance etc. Most diesels i see, can run up to 300k, so with this vehicle, that would where i hope this would finish.

So long story short, is the diesel worth the premium i'd be paying over the gas version?
